connectIPS Registration in Nepal: Link a Bank Account and Activate It
Create a connectIPS user, verify your contacts, link your bank account, and complete bank approval or eligible self-verification without confusing the stages.
Independent guide, not an official website

Quick answer
Start at connectips.com and use its Sign Up link. Create your user and verify both your mobile number and email before linking an account under Bank Account > Manage Account. Linking alone does not activate a bank account. Complete either your bank's eligible Self-Verify Account flow or the signed bank-verification form process. For self-verification, the official instructions require an OTP to bank-registered contacts and confirmation of two micro-deposit amounts from your bank statement. Wait for the linked account to show ACCEPTED; AUTOACCEPTAPPROVAL is an intermediate status. Check your bank's current limits before use. Keep passwords, OTPs and transaction credentials private.
Eligibility
- A customer linking their own account at a connectIPS member bank or financial institution. Confirm the bank and account type are supported before beginning.
- Someone with access to their mobile number and email for user verification, and to the bank-registered contacts for eligible self-verification.
- Self-verification is available only when the relevant bank enables it and the pending-account interface offers it. A participating bank is not automatically eligible for every account or limit.
- Joint, business or other restricted-operation accounts may need the bank's separate authorization process. This personal-account guide does not establish signing authority.
Required documents checklist
- □ Your own active mobile number and email address, plus the information requested by the official registration screen.
- □ Accurate bank, branch and account details from your bank record. A connectIPS username and a bank account number are different identifiers.
- □ Access to the bank-registered contact details. The self-verification FAQ requires the mobile number at the bank and connectIPS to match; correct the responsible record if they differ.
- □ For self-verification, access to the account statement showing the two actual micro-deposit amounts. Do not guess them or use amounts from another account.
- □ For branch verification, the generated linked-account form, your signature and a valid identity document as required by the bank. Confirm any account-specific additional evidence before visiting.
Step-by-step process
- Open https://connectips.com/ and follow Sign Up to its official login service. Complete user registration yourself, following the current password and security prompts. Do not reuse an example password or let an agent retain your credentials.
- Verify both mobile and email using the codes sent to those channels. Being able to sign in does not establish that your user or bank account has completed every verification stage.
- Open Bank Account > Manage Account and link the correct account. Compare the bank, branch and number with the bank record before saving. A saved or PENDING entry is not yet a usable payment account.
- Choose the available approval route. Check the official self-verification bank directory and your pending account's options. If Self-Verify Account is absent, use the bank's signed-form route rather than assuming a hidden menu can bypass approval.
- For eligible self-verification, start the official flow and complete the OTP check using your bank-registered contacts. After this stage the published instructions identify AUTOACCEPTAPPROVAL, which still requires micro-deposit verification.
- Read the two micro-deposits in your own bank statement and enter the actual amounts in the sequence received. The current official FAQ states a three-day validity period. If the amounts are missing or expired, use the bank or connectIPS support channel; do not repeatedly guess or invent replacement values.
- For branch verification, use Get form for the linked account, download and print it, sign it and submit it with the bank-requested identity evidence. Ask the bank how it will notify you of final approval; no nationwide same-day activation promise is made here.
- Return to Manage Account and confirm ACCEPTED for the intended account. PENDING, ACCEPT APPROVAL, AUTOACCEPTAPPROVAL and REJECTED do not all mean the same thing. If rejected, ask the bank for the exact reason before changing account details.
- Check the bank-specific self-verified limit and current channel or transaction conditions before your first payment. The public pages contain different general limit figures, while the bank table varies; this guide therefore quotes no universal maximum or fund-transfer tariff.
- Before making any payment, compare the receiver, account and amount in the official confirmation screen and read any charge shown there. Registration approval does not validate a recipient. If an account or approval problem remains, send a focused private enquiry through verified bank or NCHL contacts without passwords, OTPs or unrelated statement entries.
Fees and timelines
- No universal registration fee, activation charge or processing deadline was established by the reviewed onboarding pages. Verify any bank-specific requirement directly rather than paying an intermediary to obtain approval.
- The self-verification FAQ states that the two micro-deposits are valid for three days and must be entered in their received sequence. Read the live flow if it displays an updated rule.
- Self-verified limits depend on the bank's policy. The current official table has different daily and monthly entries; confirm the bank, account and channel rather than copying one bank's figure.
- A branch may require full verification for a higher limit. Ask the bank about its current process; approval and higher-limit eligibility are separate questions.
- Direct automated requests were blocked during review, although current official instructions were available through web retrieval. This is an access limitation, not evidence that every customer's service is down. No account or payment was tested.
Common mistakes
- Assuming sign-up activates the bank account
- Using a bank-registered number that does not match
- Stopping at AUTOACCEPTAPPROVAL
- Guessing or reversing the micro-deposit amounts
- Using a self-verification option not enabled for the account
- Copying a universal limit from an old article
- Sharing OTPs or transaction credentials
Read the approval stage before using the account
| Stage or status | Meaning for onboarding | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| User created | Login registration exists | Verify mobile and email |
| PENDING | Linked bank account awaits verification | Complete the available approval route |
| ACCEPT APPROVAL | Bank approval is not final | Follow up with the bank if necessary |
| AUTOACCEPTAPPROVAL | Self-verification has an intermediate step | Verify both actual micro-deposits |
| ACCEPTED | Linked account is finally verified | Check current limits and payment details |
| REJECTED | Bank rejected the verification request | Ask for its specific reason |
Keep the two contact records straight
User activation verifies the contacts in connectIPS. Self-verification also relies on the contact record held by the bank. If your active phone number is correct in one place and outdated in the other, creating another user does not fix that mismatch. Ask the responsible provider to correct its record before retrying.
Independent-site disclosure

Treat any message asking you to send an OTP, password or transaction credential outside the official flow as a reason to stop and verify the request.
