Independent guide, not an official website

Quick answer

Sign in at meroshare.cdsc.com.np with the correct Depository Participant and account. CDSC's official renewal manual shows Proceed for an expired account and Renew Account in the profile for renewal before expiry. Choose the available payment provider and renewal duration, review the charge, complete payment and return to MeroShare to check the updated validity. Keep the transaction reference. MeroShare service renewal and the Demat account's annual charge are separate obligations, so verify both with your DP rather than assuming one payment renews everything.

Eligibility

  • An existing MeroShare user whose service is expiring or has expired.
  • An account holder able to identify the correct DP and the MeroShare account being renewed.
  • Someone using a DP's separate renewal arrangement should confirm whether MeroShare, Demat or both are included before making another payment.

Required documents checklist

  • □ Your correct DP name and MeroShare username, with a password you control.
  • □ The account identity and BOID available from your own records for a support request; do not post a full identifier publicly.
  • □ The current service-expiry information and the renewal period you actually intend to buy.
  • □ Access to a payment provider offered by the renewal screen or a current approved DP route.
  • □ Any previous renewal receipt or DP subscription agreement that may already cover this period.
  • □ A way to save the payment reference, charge, chosen service, period and final MeroShare validity.

Step-by-step process

  1. Identify which renewal is due. Write down MeroShare's service expiry separately from your Demat annual dues. Check whether your DP already renews either service under an arrangement you joined.
  2. Open CDSC's official website and follow its Mero Share link, or enter https://meroshare.cdsc.com.np/ directly. Avoid renewal links received from an unknown sender.
  3. Select the correct DP and sign in to your own account. A forgotten password or changed email is an access problem; paying a renewal does not automatically repair the credentials.
  4. If the service has expired, use the renewal prompt. CDSC's published manual shows Proceed. If renewing before expiry, its manual shows Renew Account in the profile. Follow the equivalent current control if the interface wording changes.
  5. Choose a payment provider currently offered by the account. Review the account identity, renewal duration and displayed fee before continuing. Older screenshots show examples, not a guarantee that every provider or period remains available.
  6. Check the provider's address and the payment summary. Authorise the transaction through the provider's own secure flow. A DP or support agent does not need your wallet password or OTP to investigate a receipt.
  7. Save the transaction identifier and confirmation. If the page closes or times out after a debit, check the provider history and MeroShare status before starting a second renewal.
  8. Return to MeroShare, sign in again if necessary and compare the recorded validity with the intended renewal. Keep the new expiry date with the receipt. A debit notification proves money movement, not necessarily the correct service or account outcome.
  9. Check Demat dues separately with the DP. CDSC lists payment partners for MeroShare/Demat renewal, but a particular payment must still identify the service it covers. Do not use an IPO-application charge as a renewal receipt.
  10. If renewal is not reflected, contact the payment provider about the transaction and your DP about the account. Supply the date, amount, service, reference and screenshot of the account status through their official support channels. Ask them to reconcile the existing debit before paying again.

Fees and timelines

  • Confirm the current charge and renewal period shown by MeroShare or your DP before paying. This guide does not publish one combined nationwide MeroShare-plus-Demat price; the two service obligations and any DP arrangement must be separated.
  • CDSC's manual describes automatic MeroShare renewal after successful payment. It does not guarantee a fixed resolution time for a debited, interrupted or unmatched transaction.
  • A DP may provide a package or advance-renewal arrangement. For example, Nabil Invest's published lifetime-agreement terms distinguish Demat renewal at the fiscal-year start from MeroShare renewal seven days before service expiry. That is that DP's agreement, not a rule for every account.
  • Do not wait until an IPO deadline to discover that access or renewal is unresolved. Renewing MeroShare does not extend an issue's closing date, establish C-ASBA eligibility or guarantee an application will be accepted.
  • If a payment was duplicated, obtain the provider's or DP's written handling of the duplicate. Do not promise an automatic refund or a particular credit period.

Common mistakes

  • Renewing the wrong account after choosing a different DP or reusing a relative's login.
  • Assuming MeroShare renewal also clears every Demat annual due.
  • Paying again after a timeout without checking transaction history and the service record.
  • Copying a provider, amount or period from an old tutorial instead of reviewing the current payment screen.
  • Paying for a period already covered by a DP package without checking its agreement.
  • Sharing a wallet password, OTP or trading PIN with a person claiming to fix the renewal.

Debited but still expired?

Separate the payment-provider result from the account result before taking another action.

  1. 1No debit and no confirmation: inspect provider history before retrying.
  2. 2Debit with no MeroShare update: save the reference and ask the provider and DP to reconcile it.
  3. 3Expiry updated but another service fails: check that service's account, bank and application requirements.
  4. 4A package already covers renewal: ask the DP about its renewal date before paying separately.
