Independent guide, not an official website

Nepal Docs Guide is not affiliated with the Government of Nepal. This guide helps you prepare, but official portals and offices control final rules, fees, forms, and timelines.

Quick answer

Start at neb.gov.np and follow its Grade 12 Results link to Nepal Telecom's neb.ntc.net.np service. Read the heading first: on 9 October 2026 that page displayed XII Supplementary Result :: 2083, so it should not be assumed to return every regular-exam result. Use the symbol number from the correct exam's admit card and the date of birth recorded with the school, in a format the live form accepts. Submit and reconcile the returned record before saving it. If the result is missing or the date is rejected, recheck the exam cycle and ask your school's examination section to compare the original record. An online printout is not automatically an officially issued transcript or certificate.

Eligibility

  • A Grade 12 candidate checking an examination for which NEB has issued a matching result announcement.
  • A candidate with the correct admit-card symbol number and date of birth recorded for that examination.
  • A regular, partial or supplementary candidate who has matched the notice and lookup page to the correct cycle. SEE and Grade 12 have different result destinations.
  • This guide covers result lookup and follow-up. Retotaling, record correction and transcript issuance are separate services.

Required documents checklist

  • □ The Grade 12 admit card for the exam you actually sat. Use its symbol number, not a school roll number, registration number or earlier examination's identifier.
  • □ The DOB in the school's submitted examination record. Confirm the date and calendar; guessing a conversion between Nepali and Gregorian dates can prevent a match.
  • □ The exam year and whether you appeared in the regular, partial or supplementary cycle. A later publication date does not change your category.
  • □ The relevant NEB announcement and any revision, with its date and website address retained.
  • □ A private copy of the result or exact error. For school follow-up, retain the admit card and registration details; do not post your DOB and marks publicly.

Step-by-step process

  1. Read the admit card and identify the exam year, candidate category and symbol number. If you sat a supplementary examination after a regular result, distinguish those records before searching.
  2. Open https://neb.gov.np/ and find the Grade 12 result announcement or Results link. Do not substitute the separate SEE link or a recruitment result merely because it is on the same website.
  3. Read the actual notice's scope. NEB's announcement dated 19 June 2026 covers the 2083 Grade 12 regular/partial examination. This dated example is not proof that a supplementary lookup now serves all regular records.
  4. Follow NEB's current Grade 12 Results link. It pointed to https://neb.ntc.net.np/ during review. Read the destination heading: on 9 October it identified the 2083 supplementary result. If that is not your exam, return to the matching notice or ask your school which current route covers your record.
  5. Enter the exact symbol number from this exam's admit card. Preserve the full identifier and avoid spaces introduced by copying. Do not enter another student's details simply to test whether the page works.
  6. Enter the recorded DOB using the live form's instructions. The inspected page lists YYYY/MM/DD, MM/DD/YYYY or YY/MM/DD. These labels describe order and separators; they do not alone establish the calendar of the stored date. Ask the school to verify it if uncertain rather than repeatedly trying conversions.
  7. Submit and reconcile the returned exam context and any displayed identity with your own record. If the details do not match, stop and check the inputs. A similar name does not make another student's marks yours.
  8. Save the displayed result with the website address and lookup date for reference. Browser Print or Save as PDF can preserve the page, but the saved copy should not be described as a formally issued NEB transcript or certificate.
  9. For a missing result, recheck the page heading, exam cycle, symbol number and recorded DOB once. For a timeout or server error, retry later through the official link. An empty response or network failure does not, by itself, prove fail, absence or withholding.
  10. For a persistent mismatch, contact the school's examination section with the admit card, matched notice and exact error. Ask it to compare submitted identity and subject records and identify the responsible NEB office. For marks review or correction, promptly read the current instruction: a failed lookup does not automatically extend a deadline.

Fees and timelines

  • There is no single result date for every examination year and cycle. The exam-specific NEB announcement establishes publication.
  • The inspected public web form did not request payment to look up a result. SMS or telephone services can have provider charges; no current universal tariff was verified.
  • NEB's 19 June 2026 regular/partial announcement listed SMS NEB <space> Symbol No. to 1600, IVR 1601 and USSD *1601#. These belong to that dated notice; they are not proof that every channel currently serves the supplementary exam. Check the current notice and provider instructions before using a paid channel.
  • Transcript, migration, provisional certificate, retotaling and correction services have separate conditions. This guide does not reuse a past service's fee or window as a current universal rule.
  • No guaranteed restoration or school-enquiry turnaround was verified. Preserve the notice and explain the exact problem instead of paying someone who promises to change a result.

Common mistakes

  • Checking a regular exam on a supplementary page
  • Using a registration or roll number instead of the exam symbol number
  • Assuming the date-format label establishes BS or AD
  • Reading a blank lookup as an academic decision
  • Copying another exam's SMS code or deadline
  • Treating a printout as a transcript or posting private student records

Make a missing-result enquiry specific

Privately give the school the exam year/cycle, admit-card symbol number, notice title, lookup address, date and exact message. Ask it to compare the recorded DOB and exam identity. An unexplained screenshot or a guessed alternative date makes the record harder to trace.

Current page scope and independent-site disclosure

The NTC page inspected on 9 October 2026 displayed XII Supplementary Result :: 2083. This guide does not claim every regular result remains available there or that a private result was tested. NepalDocsGuide is independent of NEB and Nepal Telecom. It cannot change grades or issue certificates.
