Independent guide, not an official website

Nepal Docs Guide is not affiliated with the Government of Nepal. This guide helps you prepare, but official portals and offices control final rules, fees, forms, and timelines.

Quick answer

Start at CTEVT's official website and follow Examination to itms.ctevt.org.np, the Office of the Controller of Examinations. Match your programme, year or semester, exam cycle and candidate group before opening a result notice or using Check Results (Yearly/Semester). Keep your admit card available for the identifiers the live form requests. A scholarship selection list is not a semester examination result, and a revised notice may replace an earlier list. If the lookup or attachment will not open, use the official notice board and ask your institution's examination section to confirm the relevant publication. An access error is not a failed result. An online result record is also different from an officially issued marksheet or certificate.

Eligibility

  • A CTEVT student checking a yearly or semester examination result for the programme and cycle actually taken.
  • An entrance or classified-scholarship applicant checking the separate notice for that selection process. This requires its own candidate group and province where specified.
  • Someone who can identify the institution, programme and examination record. A broad search for 'CTEVT result 2083' does not identify one nationwide result.
  • This guide covers finding and reconciling a result. It does not apply for re-totaling, change a record or obtain a transcript.

Required documents checklist

  • □ The admit card or institution's exam record for this cycle, including the candidate identifier recorded there. Use the exact value requested by the official lookup, not a guessed number.
  • □ Programme name, year or semester, examination year and regular or partial group where the notice distinguishes them.
  • □ Institution and province details where relevant to an entrance, scholarship or provincial publication.
  • □ The official notice's title, publication date, issuing office and attachment filename. Retain a revised notice's context with its result.
  • □ For a discrepancy enquiry, your own result evidence and a concise description of the missing or inconsistent field. Submit identification privately only when the responsible office requests it.

Step-by-step process

  1. First identify the task: semester/yearly examination, entrance selection, scholarship selection or certificate collection. CTEVT's examination site provides separate navigation for results, re-totaling and certificate status; these answer different questions.
  2. Open https://www.ctevt.org.np/examination and follow the official Examination link to https://itms.ctevt.org.np/. This establishes the destination through CTEVT's own navigation rather than a lookalike result site.
  3. Compare your exam record with the notice title. Write down the programme, year/semester, cycle and candidate group before searching. A notice for another programme cannot establish that your result is missing.
  4. For an individual yearly/semester lookup, choose Check Results (Yearly/Semester) on the official examination site. Read its current instructions and enter only the identifiers it requests from your record. Do not reuse NEB's date-of-birth format or another board's instructions without checking.
  5. If the service is inaccessible, return to the examination homepage's Recent Published Result and relevant official notice. On 10 October 2026 the homepage included classified-scholarship and recommendation notices; these are not evidence that every semester result is available.
  6. Open the attachment attached to the matching notice when available. Search within a downloaded PDF using your recorded identifier, then check the row and heading together. If the file is an image or search finds nothing, inspect the relevant section rather than treating zero text matches as a decision.
  7. Look for a revision or later correction from the same issuing office. The reviewed Madhesh General Medicine notice explicitly identifies a Revised Result dated 2083-05-20; it is an example of why an older screenshot can be misleading, not an announcement for every current exam.
  8. Save the official URL, notice date, programme and your own displayed outcome. Keep other candidates' details out of support screenshots. Read any next-action instructions in that specific notice; a selection list alone is not proof that admission formalities are complete.
  9. For a missing record, ask your institution's examination section to compare the submitted exam record and the issuing office's publication. Explain whether the problem is a missing programme, an identifier error, an attachment failure or a discrepancy in the returned record. This makes the enquiry more useful than 'my result is not showing'.
  10. For a formal marksheet or certificate, confirm the correct issuing process with the institution and examination office. Do not submit a result screenshot as an official transcript unless the receiving organization expressly accepts it. Re-totaling has a separate process and notice-specific conditions.

Fees and timelines

  • Publication is programme- and cycle-specific. No universal CTEVT result date or guaranteed portal restoration time was verified.
  • No fixed lookup fee is stated here. Requests for certificates, verification or re-totaling are separate services; check their current official instructions before paying.
  • Admission or follow-up deadlines in an entrance or scholarship notice apply to that notice. Do not transplant a date from an older list into your current examination enquiry.
  • The examination homepage and a current official result-notice page were accessible during review. Its linked port-5580 lookup and result archive returned gateway errors from the automated environment. No private result was tested and no unsupported lookup fields are specified.

Common mistakes

  • Checking a scholarship list for a semester result
  • Using a notice for another programme or cycle
  • Treating an access error as failure
  • Ignoring a revised publication
  • Assuming every PDF is text-searchable
  • Calling an online record an officially issued transcript

A useful missing-result enquiry

State your institution, programme, exam cycle, recorded candidate identifier, matching notice URL and exact problem. For example, explain that the correct programme's notice exists but your identifier is absent, or that the attachment cannot be opened. Send the enquiry through a verified official channel and retain its reference.

Access limitation and independent-site disclosure

Some official result links were inaccessible from automated checks on 10 October 2026. Do not pay a third-party site to 'unlock' an outcome or invent a result from an error page. NepalDocsGuide is independent of CTEVT and educational institutions; it cannot issue results, alter marks or provide official certificates.
