Step-by-step process

1. Start from Nepal Police's official website or open opcr.nepalpolice.gov.np directly. Check the address before entering passport or citizenship information.
2. Register or sign in using the instructions displayed by the live OPCR service. Use contact details you control because a correction or status message may be tied to the account.
3. Choose the applicant situation that actually applies: Nepali in Nepal, Nepali abroad, refugee, or foreign national. Do not copy a document checklist from a different group.
4. Enter the name, date of birth, citizenship number, passport number and travel information exactly from the supporting records. Review spelling, digits and dates before continuing.
5. Upload the Nepal Police document set for the selected situation. Use complete, legible images with all corners visible and follow the file format and size limits shown by the portal at upload time.
6. Check that the latest Nepal departure stamp is included where Nepal Police lists it and that a Nepal-resident foreign applicant has uploaded a currently valid visa.
7. Review the application as a single record. A correct passport scan cannot cure a different name or date in the typed fields.
8. Submit through the official service and retain the account login and any application reference shown. Do not treat an unsubmitted draft or a payment request from a third party as a completed police application.

• Nepal Police publishes clearance help hours as Sunday to Thursday 10:00-17:00 and Friday 10:00-15:00. These are support hours, not a delivery guarantee.
• A Police Clearance Report has no universal validity period stated on the reviewed Nepal Police page. The embassy, employer, university or regulator receiving it decides how recently it must have been issued.
